ROCKALL SOLO is a unique endurance expedition undertaken by Nick Hancock in June and July 2014, in order to raise funds for Help for Heroes.

Text SOLO61 followed by £1, £2, £5 or £10 to 70070 to sponsor Nick today.

Nick landed on Rockall in 2012 on a reconnaisance for Rockall Solo. The challenge was then for Nick to land on Rockall for a second time, and this time survive solo, setting two new endurance records:

THE LONGEST SOLO OCCUPATION OF ROCKALL

THE LONGEST OCCUPATION OF ROCKALL IN HISTORY

Due to adverse weather conditions and swell, Nick was unable to land on Rockall in May 2013. Limited charter vessel availability and the decreasing window in which to achieve the records, meant that the expedition was postponed. Nick returned to Rockall in June 2014 and successfully set a new 45 day occupation record.
