“The most isolated speck of rock, surrounded by water, on the surface of the Earth.” James A. MacIntosh (1946)

"There can be no place more desolate, despairing and awful." Lord Kennet (1971)

Rockall Solo is a unique endurance expedition to be undertaken by Nick Hancock in order to raise funds for Help for Heroes. Since the first recorded landing in 1811, only four people have spent more than one night on Rockall; of these only one has done it without shelter.

The challenge is for Nick to land on Rockall and survive solo for 60 days, setting two new endurance records:

1. The longest ever solo occupation of Rockall;
2. The longest occupation of Rockall in history.

It is going to take approximately £20,000 to mount this record breaking expedition. If you're able to help out with a  donation towards these costs, you can donate using your credit or debit card instantly and securely online using the PayPal 'Donate Now' button below.
